Get PayPal involved, they have rules and when you use them they can protect you. If you choose to pay to make it go away, that's your choice, but it just encourages these companies to continue these unfair practices. Two times I cancelled phone contracts and they continued to bill me for 2 months. First time I paid. Second time I was reported to credit idiots as I was buying a house. The lender asked me about this and I told them I didn't owe it and if I did would I not pay 30 bucks and mess up my credit? And I pay everybody else? Are you not going to sell me a $300,000.00 because of a $30.00 unpaid phone bill that I don't owe? They approved the loan, phone bill is still unpaid...and I will never pay it.
Also contact the BBB, Attorney Generals Office and etc... Report those jerks!
