Welcome to YT! Congrats on your new baby! We got Roxy a year ago too & started out crate training & using pee pads. Last winter was too bitter for me let alone for her. Either way works, it's which ever way you want to go. When warmer weather arrived I moved her pee pad outside the door. Later she learned about the grass. I've left the pee pad down for her not knowing how she'd do this winter. She hasn't even paid any attention to it in months. All is outside now.
Keep a good variety of toys around for her to chew on, as the teething will continue for the next few months. He'll need them. Roxy used to dive onto any crushed ice that fell from the freezer door.
I'd try some good treat to coax him to you. Treats that have a good smell to them. I break Roxy's treats into tiny bits, so she doesn't end up having too many treats & not eat her main diet. There's no telling how he was raised, so you need to make coming to you to be a really good thing to do. Hope you enjoy YT. Check out all the sections for tons of help. You aren't likely to have problems that the rest of us haven't had. |
