Love Don't Tell Me Our Yorkies Aren't Smart !

Hello Everyone. This is the first time in a couple of weeks that I've been able to get on the computer with YTalk. DH had triple heart bypass surgery on Tues. 9/22/09, did absolutely wounderful, was back home on Fri. 9/25/09 @ noon, and is progressing beautifully. Anyway, this was the first time since we have had Cali that he was not home at night. Complete trama to her. DH is retired and Cali is home with him 24/7. While he was in the hospital, Cali kept looking for him althrough the house and out in the back yard. I kept telling her that her daddy would be back in a couple of days and that everything is okay. On the second day when I returned from the hospital, I came home and Cali had taken DH's robe from our bed, drug it through the house to the family room, pulled it up on their recliner, made her a nest, and cuddled in it the entire time he was gone. Seeing that just broke my heart to pieces. So, when we got DH home on Friday, Cali was excited, but could sense that something wasn't quite right. I told her daddy had a bobo and had to be very easy with him, no jump, and no play for right now. Can you believe she listened. She would wait for him to invite her up on their recliner, and then she would be sit or lay and be very still. She would even stare at him to make sure he was alright. Unbelievable. I'd never seen this before. She was totaly amazing. Now she acts like my baby sitter for DH. Aren't our furbabys just awesome. Just wanted to share this with ya'll.
