 New Member Intro
Good afternoon everyone!
I am 25 years old, from Stillwater, OK and this is my first visit to Yorkie Talk. I'm a brand new Yorkie owner. After researching since October '08, my husband and I finally purchased a 10 week old little girl in June '09. I'm still learning the ropes and realizing that no matter how much you've read before hand, it can't completely prepare you for the experience!! We named our baby Chloe Belle and she just turned four months old on July 30th. Potty training has been...interesting to say the least, but I'm finally beginning to think that's she getting it! It's been over two weeks without a single accident!
Prior to Chloe, I've had Cocker Spaniels, a Border Collie, and a vast array of Heinz 57s over the years...mostly during my childhood as family pets. My first "inside dog" was a toy poodle that was given to me for my 16th birthday. I named him Zach. He started out solid black but turned the most beautiful silver color at about a year (which the breeder had said he would). He lived to be nine years old but had to be put to sleep this summer due to Congestive Heart Failure. Chloe was the puppy we chose to fill that dog-shaped hole after we lost Zach, and she couldn't have been a better choice. She is different enough that I don't find myself dwelling on Zach or "how it used to be" and she has so much attitude that you can't help but love her!
