I havent had that problem but my friend has and she bought a small carrier... and introduced it to her dog and let him sniff it and put a few of his favorite toys in it. And when he got used to it she put a old tee shirt of hers in it and when she leaves the house she puts him in it. She read that they like to be in a small place one where they can basically lay down and sleep....kinda like when the hide under the bed... they feel better and dont have as much anxiety...
