I have had girl dogs all my life (all different breeds...) and Couver is the most affectionate dog I have had. I don't know if it's the breed, or just his personality, but he is needy, affectionate... and VERY attached. I am very happy to have a boy because I have read that they are more affectionate than girls.
I do however hope to have a girl eventually, but overall, I prefer his personality to all the girls I've owned. But if you don't want needy, I wouldn't suggest it
