aww poor baby,it just sounds like he needs someone to love him.Someone who is able to offer him a home where he will stay.I think its great you already have a dog as he will have the perfect playmate.He won't be so lonely when you have to leave.
If that's his only problem I say get him,I don't even think you will see these behaviors once he is home with you.
