I think it's WONDERFUL that you want to start her on a better food, but it is really important to research your choices before you get something new. Also, it is super important to very slowly change food. So feed 80% her old food and 20% new food for a few days, then 60/40 for several more days, so on and so forth.
There is a sticky at the top of the health and diet section about samples of premium foods. Most up there are good choices. Since she's a puppy, I would look into Wellness and Innova for kibble. I don't and have never fed canned so I am sorry but I can't help you there. Before I started raw I had the boys on Natural Balance which I really like also. I have used Solid Gold as well.
