Samson did that too. He is in a pen also (about 7 hours). When I would get home from work, cotton lint was everywhere! He had a blast! I have switched to paper and so far it's working. He seems to only go once while I am at work so it's not to much of a mess to clean up. I just pick up the paper and wipe the tile with lysol. Make sure he has plenty of other things to play with too.
