Some yorkies ears never stand, but to help them go up you need to do more than trim the hair around the ear. Standard yorkie grooming is the shave the top third of the ear, and some people shave the whole ear when trying to coax the ears to stand. There are also several threads on taping the ears, and this helps some yorkies. From what I've read, the droopy ear and teeth connection happens around 6 months and a yorkie who has previously had perky ears, will temporary get droopy ears. Some people say that a calcium supplement can be beneficial because while teething, calcium is drawn from the cartilage in the ear. This also sometimes happens during pregnancy, and nursing.

Your puppy will probably be teething the first year of her life, you should have plenty of chew toys and chew sticks to prevent chewing on other things. Joey loves Merrick Bully sticks, and at age two, still loves to chew.
