Default Felix thows up several times a week.

Hi, I am sooooo happy to have found this site! I didn't know so many other people loved Yorkies as much as I do!!

I have a 13 pound Yorkie named Felix. He is the light of my life! So happy and loving.

The reason I am writing this post is that my little Felix is that he has been throwing up quite a bit.

I took him to the vet, has his poo checked for parasites and had his blood tested to make sure it wasn't anything serious. The vet put him on some medicine after discovering that he has no parasites and no indications of anything wrong through the blood work. The medicine was to coat his tummy.

His throwing up slowed down quite a bit during the 10 days he was on the medicine.....of coarse, we also completely stopped feeding him any people food. He didn't get too much people food to begin with, but a little nibble hear and there.

We live on some property and Felix has a hayday, chasing dear and protecting his property. Sometimes he gets burs(sp) these little tiny sticky weeds that stick in his fur. We suspected that maybe Felix was eating some of the burs and that might be what is making him sick. Although we typically get the burs out right away, Felix can be sneaky.

Well, this week Felix has been burless.........but he has started throwing up again.

Should I switch his food. He has been eating the same dog food forever, which is Natural choice chicken meal, rice and oakmeal formula adult dog food.

When he throws up, it is always his food and water. Any suggestions??
