i know how you feel! this had happened to me as well.
TWICE actually! it will take a little while for the hair to grow back, but i think you should take a picture of him now, so that in the future, you can take the picture with you to the groomers to let them know that you DO NOT want his hair cut like that!!!!
i always bring pictures of milu with me when i go to the groomers now. i will show them the picture of how i like milu's hair to look like. and actually i found a groomer that i really like, so i will always go to her, because she knows how i like milu's hair to look.
he is still cute boy mommy, hair will come back, don't be sad!
