Usually when females get spayed, recovery time is a little bit longer than males, since they are going into the abdomen wall.

For proably a week, you will have to keep Dixie seprated from other dogs, she will not be able to get wet, jump around, or even run around. your vet will probably tell you to leash walk her for that entire week. she will probably be on an antibiotic called meta-cam, which is usually dispenced in syringes (no needles of course) its sorta like a honey base.

she should be fine, just gonna be hard to keep her low key.

Fiona is due to get her spay by the end of this month, and I"ll be a nervous wreck!!!!
