I would ask, if at all possible, Please, Please do not buy anything from these places. Even if you are not buying a puppy, the purchase of items helps to support them and keep the stores open. OP, I agree it is heartbreaking. Sometimes I am compelled to venture into one of the local petshops, and always leave broken hearted.
