I have no idea lol This is the 1st time i've done it, i usually just get it blow dried at the salon, ive never done a perm but it maybe the same way..i dunno. All i know is they put a cream in my hair and i had to leave it on for a while, my hair is verrry long btw so it lasted a while, then they washed it out, they dry the hair, then use the straightening irons to straighten it slick straight, then once it's straight they put the conditioning cream so your hair doesn't break or damage apparently, you leave it on for like 10 min then they wash it off, dry it and straighten it again. Once you get it washed that 2nd time you can see it's straight while it's wet, i guess when they use the iron that's what makes it stay straight cause of the cream. idk exactly how a perm works, but my hair is really straight, there were even girls with verry very frizzy and curly hair that had it done and left very straight. idk im going to see how my hair ends up lol
