I'm not sure if anyone posted an update of this story or not but the owner did surrender the dogs hoping to avoid criminal charges.

She specialized in small breed dogs including Yorkies. As of yesterday volunteers were still needed.

The dogs will be going to multiple shelters including Nashville and Atlanta and should be up for adoption very soon. If you are interested in adopting or volunteering services you can call 1-866-304-3352.

I'll let everyone know when I get more info.
