oh it stays in for a good while... I'd just rinse it out daily (making sure to get in between the paw pads) and then when you get back give a GOOD wash. Layla has a cotton coat so it is REALLY hard to get it out but we manage. It is best when they are dry to give a good brushing to get all out that you can for that day. Have fun and POST pictures!
