I always keep my boy in a shorter cut...not shaved though, I just trim it myself with scissors. He wears a belly band 99% of the time and if his hair is long, it always becomes a tangled mess with the belly band on

I'd love him to have a longer coat like my little girl, but for us, it just doesn't work with the belly band.
