I know that isn't "small" to a lot of folks on here but that's a small dog as far as I'm concerned! At the first vet appointment I took him to, he weighed 3 pounds at almost 9 weeks old. The vet told me he figured he'd weighed about 15-18 pounds as an adult! I came here and asked if that sounded right and everyone told me no way! Not that I'd love him any less if he did get that big, I just don't believe it's going to happen.

Does their growth slow down quite a bit after about 6 months of age?
Yea, I am looking at a puppy right now and she said that the puppy should be around 7 lbs and to me that is SMALL!! Beau is pure yorkie...and he is over 15 pounds (a little chunky and just plain HUGE). I'm wondering too...I don't really remember with Beau because I was 13 when I got him.
