Kim the Parti-color Yorkie was considered a mutant like the blue, red or chocolate AKC now recognizes them providing 4 pictures are submitted upon registration and I believe DNA proof of sire.
The Parti-color and the Biewer are both based on the piebald recessive gene.
This is from the biewer breed description. Ok Rose, Rini explain this please, is the biewer based on the same piebald gene or is it a cross between another breed (like a ****-zu or maltese)
"On January 20,1984 Gertrud and Werner Biewer bred the pair of Blue
and Gold Yorkshire Terrier that produced a new breed variation of
Yorkie." and this "The Biewer Yorkie originated in Germany in 1984 and was a piebald genetic recessive gene occurance offspring produced by Gertrud and Werner Biewer's Yorkshire Terriers. "
