But they're not off the charts, so that's good news. Miko's levels were well over 300, and here he is 3 yrs later and doing fine!
Yorkiemalt is right, an ultrasound is only as good as the person reading it. Make sure that if they do an ultrasound, it's done by someone experienced with liver issues AND make sure it's a Doppler Ultrasound...The doppler ultrasound will help determine if she has an extrahepatic shunt that is operable or if she needs to be medically managed through diet and supplements and lactulose.
There's no need to feed the l/d...I don't recommend it. Royal Canin LS 14 is better, but the best is homecooked foods...On the liver shunt group that I told you about and in the pm I sent, there are links to some recipes for liver compromised dogs.
