I just took Kobe to a new groomer and they had not plucked the hair out of his ears. He said it's not necessary, but all the books I've read state that it's must. Which is it? I know it must hurt a bunch, but if it's done for the well being of the dog, then it must be done, right.

I'm thinking this groomer doesn't know much about Yorkies.
