Everything will be fine. Remember that your dog feels your nervousness. Try your best to be calm and you will help her more than you realize.

I was really lucky with Chloe in that on the night of day 61, I decided to start sleeping on the floor next to her. Sure enough, on the morning of day 62 (I guess I slept with my hand on her belly all night!), I felt the contractions start. We had been to the vet the day before for an x-ray which showed four pups. Imagine my surprise when pup five popped out!

My sister took both boys, Porky and Spanky, and I kept the runt, Darla. The other two girls, Carleigh and Emma, went to fabulous homes (Carleigh went to a YTer and Emma to my sister's pastors family). Although it was a wonderful experience, I, too, don't plan on doing it again.
