Great advise. If you choose to use him for stud, there is no going back. Be prepared for the changes. Even their urine is stronger. Have all the standard tests done one him, bile acids, eyes, hearing, heart tested. X-rayed for Leggs Perthes, checked for Luxatting Patellas, plus having all the standard sexaully transmitted disease tests performed.

But, those are a few of the responsibilities. You also have the responsibility of assisting the breeder if they need help. And if for some reason the people where the breeder has placed the puppies can't keep the puppies any longer you have the responsibility of taking them back if the breeder can't.
