| Wizdog Hi everyone, I'm just writing this to inform everyone of the wonderful customer service we just received from Wizdog. http://www.wizdog.com I guess now you are asking what is Wizdog. It is a like a litter box for dogs without the pebbles in it. If you take a look at the site it explains how it works better then I can and it does work. The only problem we were having was Chelsey and Chester were biting the grid that held down the wee, wee pads and paper. So I had to remove it the Grid then they started to chew up the wee, wee, pads. Well they just upgraded the grid so the puppy cannot chew it up. They had sent me a out email saying they have improved it and it cost 10.00 for the new one. Well for us in Canada that would = 30.00 with the tax and shipping handling. I sent then a email stating this.. and ask if they could replace it free of charge. (THEY SAID YES!!.) I’m SO HAPPY. I just wanted to let everyone know they stand by there product and it does work for us. It keeps their paws clean because all the mess goes throw the grid to the wee, pad or paper. In fact you don't have to put anything under the grid at all. It's really your option, both our puppies liked it and Chester also learned to go inside on it . Chester would not go inside at all. He learned this in one week with this product. P.S Merry X- Mass everyone. Last edited by Chester; 12-25-2004 at 10:33 AM. |

| Ok I have a question about the Wizdog. I bought a litter box with those litter pellets and my Bell won't use it!! She just jumps out and runs away. Did you start using this whizdog when your pups were little?? Or did you train them to use it after they were grown?? With Bell I leave the sliding glass door open enough for her to get out. (I live in Florida where the coldest days are still OK to leave the door open slightly) But she goes on the pool deck and I would like to stop that. How did you train your pups to use the wizdog?? Was it difficult??

| I don't understand about what happens to the poop. It seems like it would get mushed into the mesh. And why would you not put paper in? That would seem like more work cleaning up than throwing out newspaper. |

| Sorry I could not respond sooner. With Chester it took one week to train him with the Wiz dog.. Keep in mind he was a puppy that was only trained to go outside when we got him from the breeder and he refused to go inside. We tried to train him to go inside before with no success. Anyway I got the idea of the litter box from this site. I went looking for one everywhere in Mississauga, Ontario and could not find one. So I looked on the Internet and found the Wiz dog. The reason I wanted to train him to go inside is because winter here can get really bad and Chester does not like the snow. We trained him one week before chelsey came home our Maltese puppy. The first day Chester held his pee for 10 hours before he would go on the Wizdog. We prized him and gave him so much treats when he finally went. After that, he was a pro. We just dab a little bit of his pee on the wee,wee pad and put the grid on top of it. For Chelsey it was easier. She just followed Chester and figured it out. For the poo it will not get smashed in the mesh unless your puppy steps on it or it is not firm. What we do is turn the grid over upside down and it goes on the wee, wee pad and then we throw it out. If it does get smuch you can just rinse it off with a hose It is your choice what to use to absorb the pee. You can choose to use wee pads or paper. If you chose not to use anything then, yes there will be a bigger mess to clean up. I found it to be very helpful as it keeps Chelsey paws from turning yellow and you don’t have to worry about the puppies walking in a mess. ( we keep then both together in a play pen most of the time when we are not home, except when we feed them.) But I’m really pleased with the customer service. You don’t see that everyday. We are thinking of getting a second one for downstairs. Last edited by Chester; 12-28-2004 at 09:28 PM. |
